KC3 have modified a Putzmeister Transmix self levelling screed machine. Originally manufactured with a combined material hopper to accept a pre blended mix of cement and binder for self levelling screed applications.
The customer Total Floor Solutions can achieve better rates on materials buying separately, so we carried out a number of modifications to allow the to use cement and binder to be loaded separately.
Firstly we split the aluminium hopper into two with the fabrication of an extra compartment.
We also added an extra hatch and filling system as per OEM requirements.
The machine is owned and operated by B&K systems based in Leeds, B&K are a multi-divisional company that can handle drylining, partitioning, suspended ceilings, a variety of floor screeds, resin floors, underfloor heating, acoustic flooring, flowable insulation and plastering which was how they started from a two man operation.
